The legacy of the railway . . .
You would be forgiven if you said - "what
legacy, what railway!" There's not a lot left - the crossing house, a
buffer stop & a bridge hidden in the trees. But, look around: if the
railway had not swept across the moors at this point, it is unlikely that the
'village' of West Moors would have developed to anything like the extent it has
- over 8000 inhabitants by the end of the first decade of the 21st century.
And, as a reminder, we always have "Station Road" - without the
station of course!
